About Bilijk

Bilijk First Nation, part of the Wəlastəkwiyik (Maliseet) people, has called this region home for thousands of years. Our roots trace back to the ancient village of Ekwpahak, near present-day Island View, and we have remained along the St. John River since settling at Kingsclear in 1795. Today, we continue to thrive as a vibrant community grounded in culture, language, and stewardship of our land and waters.
